Pochote House

COBANO, PUNTARENAS, COSTA RICA. 2024

Two main volumes separated by a transition that runs between two trees, one façade that cantilevers and opens toward the forest and the other that provides privacy through bahareque walls, local soil used in the breathable enclosure of this house. A large deck at the level of the pochote treetops invites you to clear your head. The connection with the environment in each space and visual finish allows you to feel like you're in the tropics, with thermal and spatial comfort. A lightweight house with a steel structure and bahareque walls, with an empty soul that floats amidst the vegetation.
